    Sinopse

THE GREAT TRIALS IN HISTORY COLLECTION

    The Conceptual Dimensions of Justice

Socrates left us a legacy as very few did. He is an exemplary figure that challenges, inspires and encourages.

The aim of the Socratic philosophy was to avoid the divorce between the man of action and the man of contemplation. His pedagogy valued constant self-critical inspection. By refuting the complacent dogmatism, men were allowed to live next to perfectibility; with temperance and justice.

Socrates took care of the others’ soul, subjecting his interlocutors to constant scrutiny. He helped others to engender themselves. He warned them about the need to think and the consequences of not thinking. His truths were lived until the limit of his death.
